Burnout.

I don't want to teach.

I just want to lie in bed, watch movies, and eat my weight in chocolate.

Is that too much to ask, really?

I don't think it matters where you are in the world... if you are a teacher you feel this way sometime after the start of school and prior to Thanksgiving/Christmas.

Hugs to you.

I just finished a jar of nutella last night.

. . .I didn't even use a spoon.

I totally understand how you feel.

Yet sometimes, my students surprise me by being uber good. I missed one day of work because I had a cold. The next morning, I found a stack of get-well cards on my desk in addition to the classwork they had to do.

I cried a little as I read through them.

Jess, I just had my FIRST "good" Tuesday. Of course, it wasn't perfect but it was certainly a step in the right direction. Usually Tuesdays are the days from *insert expletive*, but I didn't even need my emergency chocolate at the end of the day.

I hope you get your breakthrough too!
